Vori (singular: Vorus), the gentle but protective kindred of Prismatia, are deeply connected to nature, especially its fauna, whom they have guarded for countless ages. As protectors of animals, they live in harmony with the environment, minimizing any impact on it. Descendants of the god Enzo, Vori view death as a revered “great assumption” and celebrate it. Despite their gentle nature, their animalistic appearance often leads to discrimination and treatment akin to common animals.
Vori are a mixed kindred, exhibiting traits of both humans and one of the following animal categories: Canines (wolves, dogs, coyotes), Felines (cats, lions, tigers, jaguars, cougars), Ursa (bears), and Vulpis (foxes). Their height and weight vary significantly depending on their specific animal lineage.
Their appearance is a diverse blend of human and animal characteristics. Many possess the ears and tails of their animal counterparts, along with dexterous, paw-like hands. Some have pointed snouts and haunches, while others are covered in fur and may even have whiskers. It is not uncommon for a Vori to closely resemble their animal form, albeit walking upright. Besides speaking Common and their own Vori language, they can also produce a range of animal sounds such as growling, purring, barking, and howling. Physiologically, their internal anatomy and body chemistry are identical to humans.
